How to Delete Multiple Contacts on iPhone

If you have a lot of contacts stored on your iPhone, it can be time-consuming to delete them one at a time. However, with iOS 11 and later, you can easily delete multiple contacts from the Contacts app on your iPhone in just a few simple steps. In this guide, we’ll show you how to quickly and easily delete multiple contacts from your iPhone.

Delete individual contacts

Deleting individual contacts on an iPhone is easily accomplished and can be done quickly without much hassle. To remove a single contact, open the Contacts app or open the Phone app and tap the Contacts tab at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down to find the contact you want to delete and tap their name. This will bring up all of their stored information, including notes, photos, addresses and phone numbers associated with that contact. Tap Edit at the top-right corner of their information page where you’ll have options for editing or deleting that particular contact. Once deleted, the contact will no longer appear in any part of your saved contacts list on your iPhone. Deleting a single contact is quick and easy– no more than a couple minutes from start to finish– allowing you to keep your saved contacts list organized and free from outdated or incorrect information.

Delete multiple contacts at once

Managing your contacts list doesn’t have to be a chore if you use iCloud. With the click of a few buttons, you can easily delete multiple contacts at once from your iCloud account. To do so, the first step is to log in to the iCloud website with your account information. In some cases, you might have to enter a code that is sent to one of your connected Apple devices – iPhones and iPads are two popular examples.

Once signed in on the site, clicking ‘Contacts’ will bring up all of the names stored in your address book. To delete multiple contacts at once, select them using the checkbox option located near each name and then hit the Delete button at the bottom right corner of the screen to remove them all at once. After confirming that you want these contacts gone forever, they’ll be deleted from your account in moments – keeping an orderly list help ensure only relevant contact data is stored.
